Worst Questions to Ask a Runner

I absolutely LOVED the new Runners World post of "The 25 Worst Questions to Ask a Runner.  If you haven't seen this, check it out!

A few of my personal favorites...

"Tired of being so awesome, maybe!"

"We'll take our chances..."

"Don't be surprised if we pass... Chances are we're out there on purpose."

"No matter how much we love if, you if tell us 'Almost there!' and we have 20 miles to go, we're going to have a problem."

"Face it - when you cross the line, the last thing that will be on your mind is the price tag."

So true, aren't they?!  What other non-runner comments would you add to the list?

  1. I hate the "You're almost there" cheering especially when we are not even to mile 20. If they only knew how much work we still had to do!

  2. I agree!! That's almost as bad as my personal pet peeve, of the people who cheer, "You're looking great!" at mile 25, when you feel like death warmed over and look like it too! No need to lie... I know I look AWFUL. But it's not about looks - it's about finishing! :-)
